Our schedule was full of Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac, Public Health and Disaster courses, breakout sessions, and current event discussions relevant to all levels of care from the new EMT-Basic to Physicans. Supported by Healthcare's leading emergency medical suppliers and local healthcare systems, we were proud to offer all attendees the opportunity to experience presentations from medicine's most recognized keynote speakers, build interagency relationships, and attend our networking event aptly named "Tapas on the River" on the gorgeous Westin Riverwalk balcony overlooking the world famous San Antonio Riverwalk.

Our third annual regional emergency healthcare systems conference was held in the beautiful Westin Riverwalk San Antonio located at 420 West Market Street, San Antonio, Texas 78205. Easily accessible to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and The Alamo, The Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio, makes the perfect setting for our annual conference. The general assembly was hosted in the 5,900 square-foot Navarro Ballroom and our incredible sponsors had a luxurious space with river view terraces to meet with attendees and network with healthcare leaders from across the state of Texas. Full-service banquet staff and conference services catered lunch both days and provided refreshments throughout the day.

With our guests in mind, special room rates were pre-negotiated at The Westin Riverwalk and the Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk. Guests were encouraged to reserve thier rooms using the links provided below prior to the conference to ensure the aggressively discounted conference rates are applied. For our guests flying in, were pleased to provide airport to hotel shuttles at no additional cost.

Registration for STRAC's third annual regional emergency healthcare systems conference is now closed. Early bird ticket sales ended on February 15, 2016 and regular price ticket sales started February 16, 2016 and closed April 29, 2016

Education Tracks

Continuing Education for Trauma during our 2016 Emergency Healthcare Systems Conference included topics addressing the assessment, treatment, and transport for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

The Cardiac Track included educational presentations from subject matter experts including interventional cardiologists, Emeregncy Medicine Physicians, Nurse / Chest Pain Coordinators, a Paramedic / PhD, and EMS Leadership.

Nuerologists, ED Physicians, EMS Medical Direcotors, Nurses, and other well accomplished faculty shared the latest techniques in stroke assessment and care for rural hospital, EMS, and Stroke Center clinicians.

PH & Disaster

This track included a look behind the scenes of the 2015 flood responses, updates on FirstNet, how to respond to Infectious Disease during and after disasters, as well as the evacuation and care of special populations.

Sponsor Support

This conference would not be possible without the assistance and support of our member organizations, sponsors, and exhibitors. More than 500 first responders and healthcare professionals were in attendance in 2014. With more education courses planned, we estimate our third year was even bigger. Based upon sponsor feedback, we created a nicer, quieter atmosphere to connect with conference attendees in a prime location and more breaks between courses. Dozens of sponsorship opportunities ranging from phone charging stations, static displays, contests, and the Tapas On The River networking event were offered.
