COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of medical data from pre-hospital and hospital care from a trauma system viewpoint to ensure optimal care.
- Identify and review trauma cases, as deemed appropriate by the committee.
- Tenure of members will be for one year commencing on November 1st.
- Committee is composed of a closed membership and each member will sign a statement of non-disclosure.
- All documents utilized for STRAC Performance Improvement will be stamped CONFIDENTIAL.
- PI process will follow the guidelines as detailed in section 161.031 – 161.032 and Section 773.092(e) of the Texas Health and Safety Code, which detail the confidentiality afforded activities of this type.
- A quorum of members must be present for conducting the PIC meeting more than 25% of committee members.
- All minutes will be recorded and kept on file during the current term of the present STRAC Chair.
- Review of standards and performance improvement indicators will be performed annually.
COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The Performance Improvement committee generally meets on the second Tuesday of each month, at the discretion of the chair.
