EHDG Decon and RSO Committee

COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

RSO: To plan, prepare, and respond to radiological threats.

•      To plan collaboratively for all hazard/all risk threats to the TSA-P region.
•      To cooperate as regional partners in ASPR funded radiation related acquisitions.
•      To facilitate training, and exercises of personnel within TSA-P.
•      To establish radiation safety standards and assess their compliance by TSA-P.
•      To respond effectively with radiation detection resources in disaster events.
•     To improve radiation safety processes based on directives and lessons learned.

 

Decon: To plan, prepare, and respond to biological, chemical, and radiological threats.

•      To plan collaboratively for all hazards/risks threats in TSA-P.
•      To work with the EHDG IC (Infection Control) to appropriately prepare for biological threats.
•      To collaborate with the EHDG RSO (Radiation Safety Officers) to appropriately prepare for threats associated with radioactive material.
•      To establish decontamination standards and assess their compliance in TSA-P.
•      To coordinate related equipment acquisition, training, and exercises.
•      To improve decontamination processes based on directives and lessons learned.
•      To facilitate training and exercises of personnel within TSA-P.
  

COMMITTEE MEETINGS

The EHDG DECON-RSO Committee meets on the third Thursday of every other month.
