The Air Medical Provider Advisory Group was formed in 2008 to coordinate and integrate the air medical response within Trauma Service Area – P. The goal is to provide safe and effective methods for usage of air medical assets in the region. Activation protocols, landing zone locations and procedures, satellite tracking, and oversight of helicopter utilization are some of the topics that the AMPAG works on.
The AMPAG generally meet monthly on the second Tuesday of the month. The AMPAG is an open meeting and all STRAC members with an interest in air medical response are encouraged to participate.
